Micr Encoding Does Not Align Properly

We are upgrading to Peoplesoft 9.2, Tools 8.55.05.  I have an issue with the Micr Line on the CHECK1_CHECK rtf.   The micr_line field prints in the correct area of the footer on the .rtf and the fields start and end in the correct positions, but some how they misalign in the middle.  I am using the template supplied by the printer vendor to verify the accuracy of the position of the micr line.  It is a XEROX printer utilizing a MICR12 18 point font. (in our current production environment we do not have an issue so I am wondering if
