Frequently Having to Validate AADs After Upgrade to R12.2.6

We are upgrading from 12.1.3 to 12.2.6 and are frequently having to validate the Application Accounting Definitions (AAD) for Subledger Accounting for our various applications.  We are having trouble isolating what could be causing the AADs to become unstable and require revalidation.  We have not applied any patches recently.  Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this to happen?
