Card Data in the P-Card Card Holder Profile can be deleted after the invoices are created ?

Hello, I'm trying to understand why do we allow the card data in the P-Card cardholder profile to be deleted after the invoices are created ? What would be the business purpose of giving this option ? When the card data in the cardholder profile can be changed in the cardholder profile ? Thanks, Geetha
