Diskgroup layout for double and triple mirroring on X5-2

IHAC who has asked about diskgroup layout of their X5-2 for DATA/Archlog/Backup, etc.  During an ODA demo, they were told they would estimate 40+TB for triple mirroring and 60+ TB for double mirroring.  They are seeing the following with their two X5-2 ODA's and want to account for the missing space.  I realize that ACFS will take up some of the space but can't find a document that I can send them to explain.  I have looked at the following document but it only talks about ASM - How to Calculate Usable_FILE_MB / REQUIRED_MIRROR_FREE_MB (
