Hi,

we are planning to setup a DR on a RAC instance

I havechecked the url http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/options/raconenode/overview/index.html. Still the comparison of RAC One Node and RAC is still not clear.

RAC contains multiple database instances configured to  a shared storage (ASM or filesystem). How does the RAC One node operate?

Why is RAC one node installed on only one node in the cluster?

If the server from the node(RAC one node crashes), how does relocation takes place?
