How to change First open period

Hello All,

Please on a new instance, I selected July 2017 as the first period in Inventory Accounting Period, The client has requested that Stock Balance be loaded as at end of April 2017.

When I open the Inventory Accounting Period, the period starts from July 2017. I need to do a miscellaneous transaction for the stock balance as at end of April but i get an error that No period is open.

How can I change the first period in Inventory or is there a way to include the periods that are not there at the moment.

This is urgent please.
