in SPARC M-series servers (MOSC)

We're Releasing! Sun System Firmware 9.7.6.b for SPARC S7/T7/M7 platforms is now available on MOS & IPS

Sun System Firmware 9.7.6.b is now available on MyOracle Support (MOS) and the Image Packaging System (IPS*) for the listed platforms:

  • SPARC S7 Systems:
    1. SPARC S7-2
    2. SPARC S7-2L
    3. Netra SPARC S7-2
  • SPARC T7 Systems:
    1. SPARC T7-1
    2. SPARC T7-2
    3. SPARC T7-4
  • SPARC M7 Systems:
    • SPARC M7-8
    • SPARC M7-16

*Note: IPS availability will follow at next posting opportunity.

Profile of this Release:

This release is called a micro-version, used as a maintenance refresh of the existing minor-version level (e.g. 9.7).  A micro-release (in which the third field of the version increments, such as from 9.7.5 to 9.7.6.b as in this release) does not involve new general features, just accumulated bug fixes and hardware support updates.
