Portfolio Manager - Period Structure

We use Unifier Portfolio Manager and we are facing an issue. Our period structure was set to starting period (See Figure 1) and we would like to change to ending period (see Figure 2), this can be achieved by creating a new period, but system does not allow to select the new period in Portfolio Manager (See Figure 3). Has anyone had issues related to this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
