Supplier Contract Word Integration and Server Setup issues

The issues and solutions provided for the following issues:

1) Verify Server Setup Fails, referenced in Doc ID's # 1614943.1 and

2) Return Code 227 ; CSLibraryVersion not available - Doc ID # 2148783.1

seem to indicate that this functionality works only on Window based environment? How to we over come this errors in a Unix/Linux environment where there are no DLL's? Will it work if we just install the DLL's on the laptops of the users who will be authoring/collaborating on the Contract documents? Is there any documentation that provides detailed instructions for a Unix/Linux environment?
