ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

Dear All,

Greetings,

I am getting following error in alert log as well as in application logs. How to resolve this issue. How can I identify which SQL Statement is creating this error. Should I increase value for open_cursors? if yes to how much value? so that value increased is legitimate?

ORA-00603: ORACLE server session terminated by fatal error

ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1

ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
