Qs on Supplemental Database and Specification Cross Reference for Equipment

Hi All, I have a few Qs on Supplemental Database and Specification Cross Reference functionality in CAM module, as below:

1. If I have a scenario wherein some characteristics are common across all equipments, and some specific to Equipment classes, should I:

(a) Setup Supplemental Database for each of the characteristics that would be common for all equipments?, and

(b) Setup Specification Cross Reference for each of the characteristics that would be common across certain "asset/equipment classes" as stored in Cat Code 15 in Equip Master.

OR

(c) Only setup Specification Cross Reference as below:

-- Setup the characteristics that would be common for all equipments individually under each "asset /equipment class" that is in Cat Code 15, as say Pg 1 of Specification Cross Reference.
