Hello,
Does anyone else have this situation? The employees have been assigned to a Division or Region Home Business Unit on the employee master. This division or region can encompass several different States, so when a timecard is created for an employee it pulls in the Work Tax Area based on the location of the Division (which is the headquarters location in MO), but the employee, who is a driver was actually working in TN, so when the payroll calculates the Workers Compensation or State Taxes are incorrect.
Other than changing the employee master to a more detailed Home Business Unit so it populates the timecard accurately or entering a more detailed business unit in the timecard so that the correct tax area is populated or overriding the tax area to the correct location how have you worked around this scenario so the employee is taxed and the workers compensation is taxed correctly?
