"enq: IV -contention" on RAC 12.2

Hi, We are experiencing performance problems with a fresh RAC database 2 nodes on RHEL 7.2 environment. The issue was first detected during the impdp of a 1.5 GB dumpfile which took around 5:30h.

Enabling tracing on impdp has shown that most execution time was spent on "grants", and AWR as well as tkprof reports have shown that there is a high "enq: IV -contention" waits.

We have expanded our analysis and remarked that the "enq: IV -contention" waits are also present in the period of time when the impdp job was not executed as per the following:
