Archive XLA/SLA tables in Oracle R12

We would like to know if there is a way to Archive XLA tables in Oracle R12 ?  Some of our tables are humongous which impacts performance. We would like to some how Archive these tables to improve performance.

Is there a way we can achieve this ?
