Behavior of Oracle Approval Workflow Notifications

Hello Folks, anyone here familiar with the behavior of the Approval Workflows (e.g Project Status Change, Budget & Forecast Submission) I want to know how many days before reminders are sent and what will happen if theres no response from the recipient for a period of time. Help is greatly appreciated
