Legacy assets with change in deprecation to SL on NBV

Hi

We want to add assets from a legacy system into Oracle on 01/07/2017. In the legacy system they are using diminishing value, but when they are brought into Oracle we want to change to SL and the SL % should be on the NBV at at 30/06/2017. I loaded an asset using a WebADI spreadsheet where I have entered 01/07/17 as the Amortization start date and the Amortize NBV column is Yes. However, when I run depreciation it is calculating the % on the cost and not on the NBV.  How do I change it to calculate on the SL % on the NBV?
