in Simplified Interface, unable to change Page member

I have page members on a form which I opened in the Simplified Interface. Clicking on the member section window for the members I wish to see, does not change to the member selected.

The form still shows the original selected member. I tried clearing the member and selecting the new member but the new member is still not shown. Instead it just shows "Select Member" since I had cleared the original member. In Standard Interface, no problem in selecting new member. Does not make sense!
