Field to store the Company legal name for a Supplier

Vendor Services has the need to save the company legal name for our India partners as part of the tax regime. Is the Company Reporting Name field  (Navigation : Suppliers-> Entry-> Tax Details-> Create Tax Registrations) the correct field to use to save the company legal name?
