Pick List Display value & saved value

Hi All

kindly, is there is any way to create pick list to show to the user the Display Value and to save in the database the "Language-Independent-Code"?

example:

in country list of values we have 2 records (one for English language and another record for Arabic language) both records are having the same "Language-Independent-Code" which the same value of the English record as following:

Display valueLanguage-Independent-CodeLanguage Name
Saudi ArabiaSaudi ArabiaEnglish-American
السعوديهSaudi ArabiaArabic (Saudi Arabia)

Business requirement is to show the display value in Arabic language in one applet and to show the display value in English language in another applet, and in both cases to be saved in database in
