Is it possible to make Back order quantities as Soft Commits instead of Hard commit

Dear Team,

Please find our business process below and advise if it is possible to make Back order quantities as Soft Commits instead of Hard commit

1. Create sales Order - Availability checking Enabled

2. Sales Update - Depletion happens at this stage

While creating the sales order ,order goes to back order if quantity is not available and these quantities are showing as hard commits which affecting availability.

In the availability setup, we don't consider soft commits so if we can make back orders as soft commits then the availability will not affect,Please advise if it is possible..
