MRP - Disregard WO in Inspection as Supply

Occasionally, we have WOs at Engineering Inspection step which, depending on the inspection result, may or may not continue through completion.  Our Planners do not want MRP to count these WOs as supply quantity.  Other than closing the WO (the WO needs to remain open during inspection), is there a way to accomplish this?  I do not believe freezing the order will work as MRP will still regard the order as valid supply.
