FDMEE workbench cannot Export all records to Excel

Hi there, version 11.1.2.4.210.012, users need to download all the records in Workbench to Excel.  However there is a limit of around 65,000 records and when filters are selected (to reduce number of records), get the below error.

I have seen the other post regarding this:

However, as per my question at the end, I cannot get it to work.  Are scripts really required for this? I would have thought it would be a common issue.  Many thanks
