Intraunuit Purchase Orders

Has anyone used the PeopleSoft Intraunit Functionality to set up and use purchase orders between different departments under the same general ledger group? We are looking into implementing such a practice and could use help on how to proceed / where to start. Any input would be GREATLY appreciated!
