Automated Inventory Receipts

Our customer would like to automatically receive into inventory once the PO need by date has been met. Out suppliers are very reliable, but our receiving folks are not. We are having problems getting our receipts into inventory in a timely manner. We do not have bar coding in place and even doing an express receipt or ASN doesn't help much since someone needs to actually touch the receipt. Does anyone have any suggestions?
