Removing HFM Shared Members via EPMA

Our HFM application has several children in EPMA that need to be removed.

These children have financial values ( they are not empty )

The attempt was made to remove the children in EPMA - These children were then entered into the orphan list, which was fine, but the children still were part of the regular hierarchy in Smart View and in the HFM application.   So the children were removed but acted as if they were still there.

The attempt was also made to delete the children in EPMA - the children were not in the orphan list but still were part of the regular hierarchy in Smart View and in the HFM application.
