How to end date a record for person type other than employee

Good Afternoon ~

We have a situation where we are entering Interns into our EBS database.  That seems to work out well as we have created a person type for them and things are good.  At least until we want to end date that persons record when they are not longer doing their internship.  :-)

No assignment or payroll was ever given to these interns.

Any suggestions on how to end date this persons record?
