Disable the Sequence Numbering

Dear All,

One of our client company is need to remove the document sequence numbering which assign for Journal Entries in General Ledger module.

We have already end date the defined Sequences.

And I would like to know that, will be there any impact for the other modules' transactions, if we disable the "Require Assignment" check box, which is in the Accounting Set Up Manager web form
