Sales order Line Type

Hello,

Is/Can sales order Line Type defaults from the item entered?

Lets say if the ordered item entered is RMA item, can the order type default to Return (Receipt) line type without any customization. I mean to say that based on the item set in item master can the line type change accordingly.
