PPS Advisory – Calculated Field Issue on 16.15 and 17.0

Hi All,

Just wanted to pass this along.  Starting with 16.15 and 17.0 the data types for calculated fields now matter.  The main problem is when you have a numeric calculation but the field’s datatype is DTYPE_TEXT you will now get various errors where your compiled application work work for all your test cases.

The correct fix is to change these fields to be DTYPE_NUMBER.
