Classes page keyword search 'X' mark doesn't work in iOS

Post keying in the desired class by a user in the keyword search box within classes page of springboard, the 'x' mark which is supposed to clear the entered keyword doesn't work within iOS platform. What could be the reason for it as it works fine for Android.
