Ability to charge full eligible Bonus Depreciation in First Period of DPIS

Hi Gurus,

We have a business requirement where the business would like to charge the full eligible Bonus Depreciation available under Sec 179 within the tax books in the first period of DPIS. Oracle R12 calculates and allocates the bonus depreciation equally among the remaining periods in the first year which in effect defers the claim but matches the total amount at the end of the year.

The above functionality of charging the full bonus depreciation in first period is available in SAGE assets system which business has been using till date.

Have tried various options but unable to achieve the desired results of depreciation calculations for first and even following years / periods as expected.
