Inactive session status with SECONDS_IN_WAIT from 0 to 244255

in Patch Reviews - SUN (MOSC) Question

Hi SMEs

We have 12c( 12.1.0.2.0) upgraded data base recently and installed R12 Oracle EBS. We have seen around 1684 Inactive sessions in PROD instance at an incident. Around 122 Inactive sessions 0 SECONDS_IN_WAIT. Max waiting time 244255. WAIT_CLASS showed as 'Idle'. Are those are standard behavior of any PROD instance? We are frequently struggling with performance issues.

Could i know any action required from DBA or any patch needs to be applied to control inactive sessions?

Also note we have faced similar issue in previous version 11.2.0.4

Any one would help on this issue would be really appreciated.
