How to add text based on a field value of the BI Publisher Report

I've been asked to add verbiage to the check advice area of CHECK1_CHECK when a check is generated for an expense sheet.  The field source has a value of  'EXPN'.  I added an IF condition within the second table area of the form, but have not been able to generate the text on the report.  The fields added to the attached rtf related to this change are:  src_expn, exp_msg and Esrc_expn.  The field exp_msg contains the verbiage.  Any advice is appreciated.
