Sales Update issue : Rebates

The Sale Update program (R42800) is giving different results based on the value of SDSO09 from F4211.  I would like to understand how this field is updated and what trigger to have different values even for the same combination of customers,items, order companies and Ship From B/P.

I got the feeling that it looks as it changed when order is released from to future order (SDSONE reset to 0)

Can someone help ?
