Hyperlink to a picture or excel document

Hi,

I have a requirement where I have to create a hyperlink on opportunity object, which points to a picture or excel document. We have an excel document (a table) that we would want users to have access to when creating an opportunity, is there a way we could create a hyperlink and once users click on that it opens up another window with that table. How can we achieve that?
