End of year and Begin of Year Patches & RUP10

Hello,

I have a customer who implemented R12.2.4 US payroll and HR system. They are not planning to apply RUP10 and year end, phase 1, 2 & 3 patches. I was wondering what would be impacted if they don't apply these patches? What are the alternatives? Is it safe to process year end and W2 fine? Any suggestions/thoughts will be helpful.
