Configure RMAN settings in a Standby Database

Dear Experts,

We planned to take a consistent RMAN backup in an Standby database in Active DataGuard mode.

Our back  strategy is :

Once per week -      Backup level 0 INCLUDE CURRENT CONTROLFILE  PLUS ARCHIVELOG

Every day -              Backup level 1 INCLUDE CURRENT CONTROLFILE  PLUS ARCHIVELOG

Retention policy  -    120 Days

I tried to reconfigure RMAN setting according to our back strategy but encountered some problems.

problem 1:

RMAN> CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO REDUNDANCY 120;

using target database control file instead of recovery catalog

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================

RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================

RMAN-03002: failure of configure command at 09/04/2017 12:23:30

RMAN-05021: this configuration cannot be changed for a BACKUP or STANDBY control file

Howdy, Stranger!
