General Ledger - Reporting Book query

Primary Book -> GBP

Reporting (MRC) Book -> EUR

We had a user upload a GBP journal via ADI into our primary book on the 27th February with an effective date of 28th February.  This was subsequently posted on the 27th February and auto-posted into our reporting book on the same day.

As the GBP-EUR rates were not loaded I would have expected the EUR book post to fail with a Warning but the journal posted using the 27th February rates.  Querying the Journal the Conversion screen show the rate date as 28Feb17 but the rate used is the 27th Feb.  Is this as expected or do we have a potential issue?  The attached word document shows screen-prints which hopefully highlight the issue.
