How to make a snapshot of some files stored in ASM

Situation:

  • Having an empty database 12.1.0.2 on Solaris SPARC platform. Datafiles are stored in ASM.
  • We are NOT using ADVM+ACFS.
  • ASM disks are mirrored (2-way mirroring across 2 failure groups)
  • Using Full Transportable Export/Import (FTEX) for migrating source database.
  • Datafiles from source database were transferred (+ endian converted) and stored also into ASM.
  • Now I would like to run import during which transferred datafiles will be attached to target database  But before doing it, it is a good idea to make a fast backup of transferred datafiles - in case something goes wrong during the import. We can't use database flashback technology for this purpose (
