Copy data from Parent level Entity in HFM?

Hi there, version 11.1.2.4, am transferring data from one HFM app to another HFM app.  However, FDMEE gives a warning "No records exist for Period '_Oct_2016'".  The data in the first HFM app is entered at Parent (rather than Child) level and I think this is causing the issue.  Does anyone know if data can be transferred from a Parent Entity using FDMEE? Thanks!
