Newbie, have 1 spine switch, 2 leaf switches from production

Hi,

I have just started working on the Super Cluster. Is having 1 spine, two leaf switches considered highly redundant or is the spine switch a single point of failure.

I ask because we had an issue and the whole application went down and became unavailable due a syn flooding on the switches.
