User EBS session terminated when transferring data to Excel

We have 11.5.0.2 in production. Recently, user sessions are terminated in the EBS when they try pasting data from Oracle Report outputs into Excel in a Citrix environment. They get : You may have entered an invalid applications password, or there may have been a database connect error. the size of the report output does not seem to matter.  There are very few posts on MetaLink on this. The instance is Production. We have not made any changes to the EBS. The problem appears to happen in Citrix only - running locally, the problem does not occur. Any ideas?
