After terminating a service contract subline for a future date, should the status change to Terminat

My user has terminated several service contract sublines.  His termination date is a year in the future (which is the sublines' start_date).  He is expecting the subline statuses to change to ' Terminated ', but they still remain 'Signed'.  Is this the expected behavior, or should they change to Terminated?

I have seen a note about how to run a concurrent job to change the contract header's status to Terminated after terminating the entire contract, but I cannot find anything specific about termnating sublines.
