Audit log enabled for Item Master table F4101

Hello Team,

We enabled audit log in the table F4101 with one field category code.

If the user changing the category code,it should reflect it in A4101.

But whenever adding,deleting and updating records in the item master,its updating records in A4101.

Is this expected functionality with table audit .
