Question on Pay Period Limit on DBA Advance setup

I am looking for some info on the workings of the Pay Period Limit option found under DBA Advance setup.
A wage attachment DBA is setup as shown below. As you see it is set to take more then once per period.
My user does not want this to deduct additional times for some employees if there is more then one pay in a period. So what we thought could be done was at the employee DBA instruction level where the DBA is attached, an amount could be set in the Pay Period Limit field. This was set as the same flat dollar amount as the actual deduction (see below).
