ORA-12514

edited Sep 22, 2017 4:33AM in Database Networking (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered ✓

I have a Windows 2012R2 server, running both Oracle 11g and Oracle12c (don't know if this is allowed). Anyway, the person who installed 12c didn't care about it. Thinking about it this might already be one of the causes.

The effect is:

In the 12c database I have a CDB with a PDB in it. COnnecting via SQLPlus through a TNSNAMES alias to the PDB works fine.

But I cannot connect from outside clients to the 12c PDB.

Any clues?

While writing this and doing a lsnrctl status I saw that the listener was listening at port 1522 Sure, with two servers, they are fighting for ports

Howdy, Stranger!
