ORACLE_HOME and opatchauto in RAC env

Hi,

Do I have to set any ORACLE_HOME and if necessary which one (GI- or DB Home)?

Regarding patch readme I have to run opatchauto as root and unzip the patch as GI-home owner, but which environment variables I have to set?

I'm confused about this inconsistence in docs about "opatchauto" prequisites:

But in the patch readme there is no need to do so:

I think there should be no doubts performing the correct settings.
