Adding supplier contacts to Repository Contract

Hi Team - I have noticed a strange behavior in EBS 12.2.6. When I tried to add a supplier party to a Repository Contract it allowed me to pick the existing supplier but not the already existing contact for that supplier. Is this not supported feature? Ideally, we would want to define the contacts in Supplier Hub and attach them to a contract so the supplier contacts get notified. But when I create the contacts in Contract screen, that contact is reflecting in the hub. So it sounds like a one way data flow from Contracts -> Supplier HUB but
