Unable to open a file

Hi Experts,

Our Tomcat application in UAT environment started to hang recently. During the investigation, we found we're not able to open a file under one of its log directories, even though the file mode setting permits so. Note that the directory is mounted on NFS. Every time the application starts, it will touch new lock file.

In other environment where the application runs well, this file can be opened while the application is running.

I hope the investigation on the root cause of this behavior will reveal the cause of application problem (hang).
