OPM Preprocessor

We use Actual Cost, PMAC calculation. Currently we are running OPM Preprocessor at the end of the month, once all transactions are complete. Is it possible/advised to run the pre-processor weekly or even daily? it was my understanding that this would need to be run after all cost transactions are complete for the month.
